i think you're talking about the jdm evo vii tail lights...the one that looks like the 99-00 civic tails right? top red and bottom clear? they're around $380 brand new and between $250 to $300 used. that's one of those where you have to pick either you're gonna spend that $380 for a set of tail lights or a cat back exhaust...lol!gearbox said:can you get those different tails that look stock? dont know what country but ive seen em before. looks like normal tails.
i think the previous owner was going for the look of the evo ix mr tails where at night those are all you see when they light up since the housing on mr's are black.42Steps said:The tails aren't THAT bad....
hey bro...that sounds like a good idea...how exactly do i do that? what grit sandpaper do i use and what kind of spray paint will i use? thanks man!Melt said:just sand that black off and repaint the tails with transparent candy apple red ... should look aight.
yeah..i was thinking that. but i'm worried it might blur out and put a haze on the clear plastic...i wanted to ask around if it's actually possible to do that.ShinsenTuner said:You could probably just rub paint thinner on a rag and rub it on the taillights until the black paint is off... then repaint with the candy red
nooooo paint thinner. I know a guy who tried to remove the haze from his headlights and melted them that way so I would be carefull. Paint thinner is never a good idea on plastic. Nice evo thoughReggieSD said:yeah..i was thinking that. but i'm worried it might blur out and put a haze on the clear plastic...i wanted to ask around if it's actually possible to do that.
