nice car, I think that If i had to choose, i'd pick the evo over the sti, too many people have the sti over here already. lowered with some bronze rims would look real good!

I am looking at upgrading the suspention but I don't think I'll change the Wheels. I know I won't go bronze if I do.

might wanna rethink the autocross stuff, i do believe that viods any warrenty and i believe there might be a thread about mistubishi vioding warrenty's and what not. but since u are going and doing some mods to it already i guessing that u either dont have a warrenty or u dont seem to mind.

anyway nice car and for sure one of the cars that i am also considering buying in the future sometime

white's a gorgeous color... was pretty close to getting that color myself (but i already had a white civic)...

anyway, have you checked out www.evolutionm.net ? lot of good info there, if you can get past the "i'm better than you" attitudes, and infighting and Vishnu vs. Dynoflash bullshit that always pops up.

as far as mods, your first power upgrades should be turboback exhaust. intakes really aren't going to do much for the evo, as stock as it is. the stock unit is very good as-is. there have been some instances in which people have LOST HP with an intake. if you DO get an intake, you'll have to get flashed for it, and then you'll see moderate gains, so the cost adds up. i think you should just go turboback exhaust, boost gauges, turbo timer, boost controller, all the basic s**t first... and then get tuned as you put the intake on (and whatever else) so you save on cost and efficiency... some people have seen good gains with a K&N Air Filter. lot of people prefer the HKS RS Suction intake; there's an injen intake out for the evo now as well, and comes with upper IC piping--it goes well with the injen intercooler, which comes with the lower piping. but that's just my opinion of course.

anyway, awesome car bro, welcome to the fam... just don't launch it a million times and expect the warranty to cover that piece of s**t clutch ;)

i've always luved EVO's. i just dont like the tails on the USDM 8's, i'd change em to the JDM EVO 7 tails. but anyway congrats man i've thought about goin out and getting one and prolly would if i didnt have student loans to pay for

Still $319. Thats the HKS intake or the BOV I'm looking at. Tails are not important at all to me right now. They do notthing for the car. Thanks though!!!

i've read the HKS bov breaks a lot. like i said before, best mod to start would be turboback exhaust. i got my greddy catback, helix dp and perrin cat delete on and it's a completely different car on the top end... loud as a motherfucker though

Well I'm looking at the HKS Racing Intake and the GFB BOV. Also want to get the ECU flash/remapped. Thats about all for now.
