You should drive your car around for about 6 months before you do anything. That way you will be able to determine what YOU want to improve about your car.

You will benefit more from it in the end. Also in the mean time, do some research as to what modifications are available and how much you will benefit from them. Over time you will be able to determine exactly what it is that you want out of your car, and how you can achieve it given what your budget is.

Just stick around here, browse around and start looking up at more 7th gens and see what you want. Something looks interesting.. do a little research so you know what your getting out of it. Find people who already have that product and see what they say, not everything is good.

I'm pretty sure your going to want a sound system first. Unless you enjoy the rich 100 watts of pure quality sound from your stock speakers.

Just try and find some reviews and go and listen to the speakers/subs at a store.

Be aware best buy will run you a lot of cash if your looking for a sub setup.

Go to best buy to find what you want, then order from Amazon. Trust me, they are so much cheaper.

If theres any one thing 7thgens need, it a drop.
Lowering springs look good and can be had for cheap.

Couple things I can think of that are mandatory are.

1. As pon55 said. Drop that b***h.

2. Tint the windows. The tailights too if you want and if it's legal in your state. I couldn't find any aftermarket tailights that don't look ricey.

3. Speakers as noted before. I hated stock civic speakers with the passion of a 1,000 burning sons.

4. Headlights, Hid's aren't expensive and are a nice upgrade from stock headlights. I bought my whole family HID's cause I can't go back to driving regular headlights.

That's just my taste tho. Try looking at other peoples rides and get ideas from that too.

Ask your local authorities, look on your cities website.

Well when i bought my 2002 honda civic, it was also bone stock.
THE first thing that i wanted to get rid of on my car were the headlights...so i took those out and replaced them with double halo projector headlights
Than i decided to take the stock rims off/tires and get 17" chrome casino rims, which i than replaced with Black BBS rims...
Its up to you basically...i wanted my car to not look like everyone elses so i just made my car look the way i wanted it to look...also did the taillights, grill, intake, spoiler, tint, blue interior dome lights, ect.
I had my stereo system jacked so i put stock back in, havent had any problems with that
