ive seen kits that are pretty much 3rd gen conversion front ends amemiya and non
i guess the whole jdm craze has blinded me from cars like this
if possible i would like something that gives it a 3rd Gen look

Um no they don't just sold my 89 GTU.Rotary's are running 7's at the track they are fast lil engine's that can prob walk all over you.To orginal poster just throw on one of them drifter body kit's and beat the hell out of it.
They may be running 7's, but they sure won't last long like that. It's like a 2 stroke almost. And sure they are going to walk all over me, you, and anyone else on this site moron, its a full out rwd drag car. I get way better fuel economy than any regular model rx3 or rx7 and go faster, at least faster than all the n/a ones and the rx8's. I know, my dad has a 6 speed rx8. REALLY tempted to get a RX7 3rd gen conversion front, or maybe just dent pull the front and get a JDM lip?
the rear lights on one side are going to have to be replaced as well as a front side turn signal light, and the brakes, but asside from that chaching
and in regards to reliability, as long as you treat it correctly (my friend who has a 3rd gen told me how to maintain rotaries , his is @ 120,XXX and runs like a champ) itll be fine.

Rev to redline at least 1-2 times during a drive to clean out the oil gunk
special startup and cooldown procedure

Man, most people don't know the special start up and cool down thing, every time you start a rotary motor, you have to run it until it heats up, or hold it at 4k for about 10-15 secs. I have to do it to the rx8. There was an rx8 in our shop that did what it would do if you don't do this, IT WON'T START. no matter how much battery you have. You will have to give it all the cranking amps you can, put a little tranny fluid in the motor and spin it w/ the spark plugs out, and then put them in and hope it cranks, and then keep cranking and cranking and cranking with a charger hooked up of course, and then when it does start, it will smoke for like 10 minutes until all the trans fluid is completely gone from it's system.
here is another option, what if i just saw off the bottom damaged part of hte bumper, and then like leave it for turbo intercooler, or just try to pull front dents and Lip it?

thats just a BN sports knockoff bumper..i think im going to go with the BN style front bumper from AIT racing, thoughts?

well just i nregards to the overall, deal, im prob going to have eto replace alot of body panels, so thats why i as looking at teh FD conversions
i think i may just dent pull+bondo and replace the stuff that relaly has to be replaced and lip it
