i know people would flame me on this but... if i ever had the money, i would probably use 17's on my rear = X along with the offset in the back. lol. I'll figure it out one day when I do get to that point. But for right now, just regular rims. But the 17's look good and made me break out of the "16's are big enough" mind frame.

if you were going for different sized wheel pairs, i'd put the larger, wider ones up front where your traction is.

i know what you mean.for the past couple of years, 17s just weren't appealing to me..too big. but when i laid my eyes on these rims (saw them on sale on the hondaclub philippines site...USED) ...i had to have them.coz i got a good deal on them.packaged with the work lugnuts too.but i still have 2 sets of 15s tucked away..and a set of 16s.so every now and then, i'll do a switch-a-roo, depending on my rim size mood.=)

that idea you have is interesting. i've never seen it done on a civic. though i've seen bigger and wider rims on the FRONT, for traction reasons.

true.. the idea i have isn't so much used for handling. I just want to go as wide as I can in the front without messin up my steering. I'm gettin this idea from rwd cars. My friends got all the european cars and are considering the same thing. Of course I won't do anything too drastic.. I don't really want my rims to stick out nor have to do a wide body conversion.

another reason why RWD cars are the s**t! staggered wheels, more wheel options, wicked offsets, etc. wish i had one=) so what were you considering? like 15s front, 16s rear?
