they can but, it takes a lot more money than just puttin in the v8. I know a guy rite now that has an inline 235 thats all kinds of tweaked pushin 450hp but, you can only guess how reliable something like that's gonna be.

what rear end are you gonna use? I used a '98 rear end, but had the posse traction put in. I was gonna stick with a 327, but something like a stroker was hard to come by. i got it for $850 with the hoses and edelbrock carb already...couldn't pass it up.

It's out of a 70s nova.... no posi. Free.... couldn't pass that up. The widths matched so it's bein used.

yep.. I've just gotta get some u-bolts for it to clamp it down.... I'm sure they'll pop up for free too if I skip ahead to parts of the engine now.

There was one more nova that was done but, it was my dads.... 67 bright red... 383, it was runnin 11s before he got rid of it.
The 53, I thought was done but, as with any project it's never finished.
