theres nothing special about the ViRS ferio... it came with a d-series engine.

what did they call coupes?? im just curious. i dont understand why people call their 4-door a ferio. yeah thats what its called in japan, but we arent in japan, you didnt get your car from japan, yoru car is lhd.

Check your VIN... if it starts with a J... Guess what? It's from Japan!!

I forget what all the other numbers mean... I had this sheet that had all the number designations from the Honda dealership I used to work at. It told you everything, where it was from (which plant specifically), auto ot manual, specific model (CX, DX, LX, EX, Si), 2-Door, 3-Door or Sedan... the list goes on... I'll have to look for it.

heres a more general explanation. im sure its right for at least 6th gens.

1st, 2nd, 3rd digits = manufacturer, make, and type of vehicle
4th, 5th, 6th = line, body, engine type
7th = body/trans type
8th = vehicle grade
9th = check digit
10th digit = model year
11th digit = plant
12th - 17th = serial number
