well, i didn't cut any blue wires, the only ones i cut were the 4 yellow/black injector wires that all meet in the drivers side shock tower plug. then i spliced the resistors into each wire, just like in that DSM injector how-to using the radio shack resistors. i tried all day today to get it running and had no luck. i think its something in my chip programming.. the car wasn't even responding to any chips i put in. i even made one that had NO fuel, and the car still started and chugged away like every other time i tried starting it. then i made one with a rev limiter set at 1000 rpm's and it still revved over that. do uberdata bin's usually f**k up like this? im using Uberdata 1.70. its like everything i do does nothing. the car still runs waay too rich and fouls up my plugs and stalls and dies. i put a fuel pressure regulator on and the lowest fuel psi i can get is 50psi. maybe im just an idiot at using uberdata, but i've tried just about everything...sk8shorty017 said:the order is extremely important, blue MUST go to blue, etc. There is a firing sequence to them too, so blue 1st, etc. (just an example). As I said, are you throwing any CEL?
are you throwing any check engine lights?habitat307 said:well, i didn't cut any blue wires, the only ones i cut were the 4 yellow/black injector wires that all meet in the drivers side shock tower plug. then i spliced the resistors into each wire, just like in that DSM injector how-to using the radio shack resistors. i tried all day today to get it running and had no luck. i think its something in my chip programming.. the car wasn't even responding to any chips i put in. i even made one that had NO fuel, and the car still started and chugged away like every other time i tried starting it. then i made one with a rev limiter set at 1000 rpm's and it still revved over that. do uberdata bin's usually f**k up like this? im using Uberdata 1.70. its like everything i do does nothing. the car still runs waay too rich and fouls up my plugs and stalls and dies. i put a fuel pressure regulator on and the lowest fuel psi i can get is 50psi. maybe im just an idiot at using uberdata, but i've tried just about everything...
I had that EXACT same setup. If your check engine goes off, then whats the prob? You're having problems with the settings working? Do you have a wideband 02?habitat307 said:i have a solid CEL when the jumper is connected and trying to run the chip. and i just read that my programming could be the cause for that. i dont think its my socketing/soldering job, i did a very clean job on it, and all connections look good. what is the best uberdata version to use? i noticed if i save the filename different with no extension -for instance: "program" instead of "program.bin" , the chip has somewhat of a response to the car and my check light actually went off.. so that kinda wierded me out and makes me think somethins up with my uberdata program. I'm using the Burn1 Flash-n-burn by the way.. so its got all the automatic hex addresses for my specific chip
you musnt be jumping it correctly or something, I had the chip in and jumped it all the time. BTW, for the problem your having is why I removed my turbo kit...habitat307 said:thats what im thinkin.. but i havent done anything differently than anyone else who's put DSM 450's in their setup... and the CEL, well i cant diagnose it because when i jump the service connector, the CEL stays on, it never goes off when the chip in plugged in.
just hit me up on msn / aim and well swap some bins.habitat307 said:thats me btw who added you to my msn.. prolly easier to explain on there. i downloaded a stock bin for a p30 and it looks crazy, the 2D map of the fuel and ignition are all wild looking as opposed to the one of the stockGSR one i was modifying that was all smooth... what does a stock p28 or a stock p30's map look like in uberdata? cuz i think somthins wrong with my chip programming..
