STi swap!

On a somewhat related note, I remember this middle aged bastard who had a brand new vette was making fun of this guy's STi and telling him how slow it was compared to his vette. Well they raced, and the guy with the vette even jumped the gun and got a slight lead... The STi still smoked his ass. It was a great victory. I've always liked the WRXs, but since that day i've had a great respect for them.
definatly thinking of a sti swap. the current motor gets me in enough trouble though!

anyway, ive heard stories like this, one was a video i saw on nasioc, it was a drivers meeting at a track in michigan, and the track official said "and for all the corvette and viper guys, if you see a subaru or evo behind you, just let them pass you, dont block them on purpose"
kinda funny.....

So when you hitting up the rally cross? We need to get that 95% street 5% dirt ratio working in the other direction =)

I understand the point of your car, I have a few friends that refuse to do anything but put their STi's through hell in the mud...........I'm just not like that, I prefer to go fast on pavement, but have utmost respect for those who choose dirt!

No problem, I think that sometimes people forget that one of the major components of being a car enthusiast is actually using the car for the purposes behind which it was built. By caring more about the way your car handles in its environment over simple aesthetics shows that you are a different kind of enthusiast! Everyone has their own styles, that's what makes this car sport/hobby great!!

Love your rex! And since it's a bugeye, I have mucho respect... I've always loved them. I was once a proud owner of a blobeye STi (04). Sadly, we parted ways.

What are going to do as far as engine management? Cobb's accessport comes as a highly recommended first mod as far as power goes. I think the stage 1 flash (no cat-back) increased the 04 STi boost to 19 and the stage 2 (w/cat-back) produced something like 315 whp and comparable torque - don't quote me on that though.

But anyway, great ride! Mucho props.

yeah, i heard that cobbs accessport is definatly the way to go. i just am lacking funds right now.
its plenty fast, so i im possibly going to do some skid plates and some suspension work.
i love the look of the bugeyes though, i was thinking about the blobeye when i was looking for a wrx, but they didnt do it for me like the bugeye. and for some reason i really dont like the hawkeye. so, i found this one, and snatched it up as fast as i could. i might be doing some suspension work next weekend, so i'll update this thread with pictures.

car looks great rally that s**t son! haha. I'm actually likin the black wheels, bronze is deffinately played out especially in the scooby world. I like the bigger wing but then again I've never seen a (intentionally)wingless wrx long enough to have an opinion on that. might look pretty clean. and don't drop it haha keep the rally look .... the dirt compliments it well. lol great looking car man :thumbs up
