Nail polish for scratch removal?

I was just browsing through certain blogs and I came across this blog http://www.serviceplus416.com/maintenance-tips/4-tricks-every-driver-should-know/. It says that "Nail polish is a great scratch removal tool". Does this work? Has anyone tried this?

I've heard that it does work, and many sources online claim that it does work. However, I have not used it. I've used Scratch-X type stuff and that seems to work on light scratches ok.

Our mobile scratch and dent guys love it when girlfriends and wives try to fix paint with nail polish. More money for them to fix the terrible job and poor match. Like XpL0d3r said, some claim that it works, but then again they claim that just an intake will net you 50 more HP to the wheels.
