There we go. Finally got you to say it lol.

If my friend can get 100+ fps in the same spot where I get 30fps, it's the hardware ;). Did I mention he pretty much uses medium-high video settings? I have EVERYTHING turned off/down.
How the game handles the software it has. The software you have is NOT the limiting factor. It's the game.

The game likes other hardware configurations, it always has. I was able to run it with full max settings on my old machine with a 6 year old graphics card.

It all has to do with the game itself, not the hardware.

Well now I'm starting to think my computer is junk...

I was just dual boxing in WoW, had like 5 firefox's going, vlc media playing Smallville, Ventrilo, AIM, and MSN messenger running, and my computer started beeping at me in 5-10 second intervals for about 3-5 seconds at a time. I got worried after a few minutes so I shut it down and let it cool off. I booted it back up and it stopped beeping but I'm not running nearly as much stuff as I was. I'm backing all my s**t up on my back up harddrive just in case my computer decides to burst into flames.

Maybe my board is garbage? I don't have the money to upgrade parts but if I had to, guess I'd go triple or quad core with a better board. I thought I got a decent machine built. Guess I was wrong if it's having trouble handling this much.

you dont need a quad core for WoW? i get a consistent 60fps in my 25m raid boss fights. im just running a single video card too.

also i just want to remind/tell everyone, a standard video camera and most shows you watch on TV, record and plays back film back at 24fps

do note, your monitor/tv will blur images/videos unless it is made to handle something faster than that. IE 240 hertz

I spent around $550-600 for just the tower. Hard drive, mobo, processor, cd-rom, case, RAM, power supply. I had the OS and monitors. Not a lot, but enough for decent-good parts.

And I know you don't need a quad core for WoW. At first I thought that if I'm going to upgrade my mobo, may as well up the processor too. But after thinking about it, I might not lol. Who knows. I'm an impulse shopper. I may end up buying more than I want.

No. He did it for free. He loves doing it.

And oops I meant processor, not hdd. Forgot to add in the power supply too lol. NOW the price makes more sense haha.

For that price you could've gotten a much better computer.
