New exhaust too loud

I have a 2003 Civic LX and I just replace the exhaust with a magnaflow catback exhaust system. I have a silencer in the muffler because without it I wouldn't hear myself think. I have replaced the exhaust manifold/cat with new header (w/o cat). The system is just too loud. How can I make it quieter? Would a resonator help or a universal cat? I don't want to replace the headers with a stock one because it looks better but I can't handle all the noise. Any suggestions?

you might try a resonator or a high flow cat

I've been looking on ebay for a resonator (and just about everywhere else for that matter) but all are for the EX model and I have a LX/DX. I heard that the longer the resonator is the better sound I will get. I just want it quieter. Do you know where I could find one?

just throw a cherry bomb or a resonator before your muffler.

You can go to a muffler shop and have them make you a resonator for pretty cheap.
