Thanks for the advise. But I can't put the deck that was in there back in because it was an aftermarket hackjob of an install. Instead of getting a harness to connect it, whoever put it in just cut wires and wrapped in electrical tape (no caps or anything) and I really don't want to re-splice all the wires on the old harness just to check for a charge... The fuse in the unit itself looked fine. I rewired the ground as well just in case. *sigh*Brent878 said:check the fuse again to see if it is blown. Sounds like you have a 12 volt (yellow wire on aftermaket stereo)feed to it but the accessory (red wire on aftermaket stereo's) isn't hot. If all fuses are good then pull your head unit out, while it is still plugged in turn your key to on (or what ever setting you have the radio hooked up to) and put a test light on the red wire and also the yellow wire. They should both be hot. If they aren't then something in your wiring or fuses is wrong. Also head units will sometimes have an inline fuse or a fuse on the back of the unit. Also check the fuses in the car and see if those are still good. You can always put your stock head unit back in and that will let you know if the stock wiring is still good or bad. That will narrow down some of the searching.

On the bright side, at least the in-dash clock started working again....
I think I might have a defective deck. With it being an Xplode and all, I wouldn't be surprised... at least I'm only a week into the 2-year warranty...
