thats what I was leaning towards actually.

the motor is screwed, everything keep breaking whenever I fix something. Im getting some serious blow-by its smoking out the vc breather pretty thick. the compression comes back in the 150's so im not to sure whats wrong. the valve cover gasket went bad(got oil in the spark plug hole), im noticing smoke on decel so im worried about the valves.

I also need to figure out a better set-up for my return and feed I just got a new turbo and its blowing oil past the seals from day 1 so I either need to add a restrictor or look into my return situation to see if its getting backed up.

basically right now im rockin my dent proof saturn till i can figure out what to do with this thing.

update on the ride here. pulled the motor, turns out the ringlands are just broke into little chunks.. good times. Found the driverside axle boot was all mangled, I just got some new ones with lifetime warranty for piece of mind. ordered a new feed return line kit, along with a catch can, and some motor mount inserts. Also got oil pressure, af ratio, water temp gauge so I can keep track of what going on with the thing.

got all new gaskets, head, valve cover, oil pan, head bolts, new rings and pistons, rod bearings. the cylinders look good and rods are fine. valves and the whole head actually looked great, so no worries there.

some picks of the tear down waiting on some parts, but ready to put the motor back together at least.

head off everything dc'd

ohh yeah we jacked the motor onto the ground and took it out from under, lmao. gonna have to get it towed to my buddys house to use the hoist to get it back in.

no motor.. fun!

took the opportunity to paint up the red bits someone left, obviously painted the bay with the motor in ><

got the motor all stripped, lots of walmart engine degreaser and cheap carb cleaner later its pretty clean =) gonna paint it red (actually already started lol

pistons have seen better days

hehe yeah, they where pissed at me. build is coming along, everytime I try to do something, something else fuks up... ball joint was stuck beyond every trick in the book so I had to sawzall it off and I couldnt get the bolt out of the lca so instead of drilling and messing about, I just went and got one from the boneyard :p

while torquing down the rods last night, the thing just wouldnt click, I gave it one last shot and it twisted the damn bolt off. I ordered 2 new rod bolts and nuts from honda today for effin 20 bucks >.<

trying to re-weld a better oil return setup is proving to be a b***h, waitiing for my buddy to have some time to do it for me, I failed at that, lol.

hoping 2 more weeks and ill be driving it again =)

clean hatchie man are you running stock internals on your set up if so how much are you bootsting im thinking of getting a single cam and turbo it but i would atleast like a low compression cam

yeah its stock internals =) Its 10psi on a t3/t4 .57 It is a d16zc basically the jdm d16z6 from what I have read anything past 220hp on the the ringlands/rods is pushing its luck.

most would call me crazy for replacing the oem parts I blew up with more oem parts, but there a long story behind the engine blowing up, involving the wastegate diaphram ripping, and no boost gauge..

My main agenda right now is getting it back on the road, I was able to do this rebuild for a couple hundred bucks and some beer for the boys so its a temp solution till the winter comes and I can save up for a vitara/ftj rod combo and all the machine work involved.

this time around I have all the gauges, my crankcase ventilation is in check, my return line doesnt suck anymore and Im going to get a real dyno tune not a street tune that most likely sucked.

I live and learn I suppose ;)

hopefully tonight I will finally have it all together. I keep finding things that make me think the previous owner is trying to kill me..
like I was undoing all the e-tape off the ecu wires to redo it and I found what looked like the wires fell onto a belt and where all skinned. just taped up the whole bunch instead of individually fixing them.. and upon further inspection they left the 3030 valve when they did the 4 wheel disc conversion >.< A buddy had a 4040 laying around from his teggy thank god, so I have that hooked up.

If I get it running tonight going to make a dyno appt for next week.

got it all back in its home =)

took it to the dyno today, I was a little surprised by the numbers, but about what i was guessing. he said he could of pushed it further, but the internals wouldnt be able to take it.

So a little update, it appears the my oil seals blew out on the turbo or at least that the best explanation I can come up with anyway. whenever I boost hard and let off it blows some smoke out the back, quite a bit actually lol. but it only happens on full pulls, nothing if I only boost half-way or nothing in normal driving.

There is oil in the charge pipes so Im guess the turbo is shot, but Im pretty surprised it doesnt blow smoke during boost, only when letting off. the seals must be weak, but not completely shot is all I can guess.

but went out shooting today and got a decent pic I thought i'd throw up here
