Well I'm thinking I might do a complete rebuild of the stock B7 since it's numbers matching and all. Will also be on the look out for a steal of a deal, complete VTEC head and just make a JDM D15B of sorts, lol.

/\ Well if you know, it got totaled.

Good news though! I got another with the insurance money, and even had money left over. Insurance paid out $2,200 or so for the civic, and I bought it back for 530 or so. And here on February 2nd, on my birthday, I went to Cour d'..... Idaho whatever. Can never spell that place. Anyway, got a 2nd owner 93 LX for 900 bucks. He had it for 12 years, and it only has 165K on the clock. Doors, hood/trunk, all close like they were new. It's red, so it obviously needs a good cut and buff.

Only issue is that it had a dead cylinder, which was remedied quickly by swapping in the ZC from my previous sedan. Runs like a champ, and stock as can be. Every little clip, bracket, coolant line holder things, all there. It even came with pretty much new Hankook iPike winter tires as a bonus since they go for like 100 each or something.

I'll get some pics tomorrow.
Cour d' Alene, loved going there as a kid.

Congrats on the new ride, post pics

Here's the only one I have. Still isn't buffed, and isn't washed. Interior is in great shape, though I'll be using a carped cleaner on it soon, and a head unit. Nothing is cracked or damaged, but the glove box latch is missing as always. Engine bay was a lot worse. I used my power washer and it helped a lot, but it's only cold water, with no soap. Eventually I'll do it better, but if you can tell, everything is 100% stock. Save for the ZC. =)

Yea, not to bad for 900 bucks. Came with almost new Hankook I-Pikes. I'm the 3rd owner, previous had it for 12 years. It has 165xxx miles on it too. Doors and hood even close like they're new. =)

Thanks. Basically I want to keep this stock for as long as possible so I can focus on improving creature comforts. =)
Steps I want to take are...

1) Dynamat added to inner and outer door skins, floor, rear shelf, fire wall, and roof. High density foam to floor and outer door skins. Then vinyl traced to the outline of the door panels and added to the inner door skins. That'll make it quiet like a Lexus inside according to a build thread I'm following. That as well as tint.

2) Whilst doing all of that, my interior will be out of the car, which will be the perfect time to dye the carpet black. As for the door panels, I have no idea, will probably ask for opinions and start a poll. Wrap the headliner in a nice black fabric, and either wrap the pillar covers as well, or paint them with SEM Landau black. I'll do another poll for that as well.

After that's all done it will just be things like a bi-xenon projector retrofit, full cut and buff if not already done beforehand. Re-conditioned mud flaps, some clean and simple 15's (Maybe OE Honda), SiR lip, OE EG8 foglights, rain visors, Broadway mirror, alarm with keyless entry, etc.

Suspension plans are probably just some S.Tech springs on stock struts. I'd like to, in the end, to swap in a JDM D15B with 3 stage VTEC.

In a nutshell, I want a more high end luxury 'feel' in a more reliable, and less expensive chassis.... that gets 40+ on the highway.

Well not just a D15, but the VTEC-E model. I'd run a OBD-1 to OBD-2 jumper and use the stock ecu and wire it all in accordingly. But if I'm already getting around 40 on the highway, why not mid 50's? Plus when in normal, 16 valve VTEC it's still making 130 crank, and that's with stock header and exhaust, which I could always change.

That's why. =) Comfort, options, great gas mileage... what's not to like?
