Giving the way your car looks there's a chance you were followed. I doubt it was from CT though. If you had your hood popped anywhere or something was mentioned in public about it then maybe they followed you but I don't imagine it was from CT to NYC. It's not really that far of a distance though, so it is possible I guess.
