On my lunch break today I washed my car cause I already had all the stuff out from doing the company cars, and i was bored. Snapped a few pics, and yes this time i acually used a digital camera, not my trusty 35mm... still working on getting the hang of the point and shoot HP M415....
It was a mess before:
All cleaned up:
My boss's 04 Crown Vic, you should have seen what a mess it was before i came in to work....
And for kicks, my new pair:
And now the bad news: Of course since I just washed my car, it decided to rain on the way home
Finally got around to putting my amp and sub, not the best setup, and its not how i want it yet (the sub is going to go on the other side of the trunk and face toward the trunk lid after i get more speaker wire and build the MDF floor)
Took about an hour and a half, not the best job, but it works for me.
Last time I posted the headunit and speaker pics, I didnt get to many in progress shots, so Im just gonna start from the begining with the setup details.

Special thanks to Glen and Leslie for letting me borrow their garage for a while, and my parents for being cool about having a system.
Installed everything myself, the wire harness pictured might look a litte odd, but I grouped the wires to separate power and speaker wires, all connections under the heat shrink were sodered and insulated.
Cost Tally so far:
Headunit: $100
Rear speakers: $50
Amp: $125
Sub: $50
Box: $35
Wiring and connectors: $75
Sirius: $35 for the unit, $150 for 1 year subscription
Total: $620
I'll try to update this as I get closer to being finished
As of 02/18/2006 Luminics bulbs installed
Yellow 9006 Low Beams
UltraWhite 9005 High Beams
I think they look pretty decent, defitly a huge improvement over stock. Visibly is awesome, glare and all dont seem to be a problem with other drivers either. Doesnt hurt they look sick driving though town either, nice and different, at least for around here. Took a few rolling shots with them in last night, so far I'm really happy with them. Props to Jason for the idea and helping me finally make up my mind, hope your lights turn out nice as well man.
