The cold air isnt going to give you any more hp than a short ram and it has the risk of hyrdolock may be a low risk but its there.
Hope it works out good for you. Have you found an AEM filter for it yet?

This is what my old setup looks like, y8 w/ short ram. No longer looks like this pic though.

No, not yet. I was looking on the AEM website and couldn't really pick one out cause idk what size the pipe is that ordered... I guess i could get one for the pipe i have on there now. I just got a hose clamp and tightened it down to the manifold and it actually holds pretty good. Maybe i'll just do that and get like a 5" filter for it.

I went to a buddy's house today and found out a couple things.
1st - my Vtec isn't popping. I haven't been getting on it to even notice it but he took it for a little drive then checked under the hood and it's not even connected.
2nd - My ECU has Si-R written on it and it's not bolted in place.. idk if it really is an Si-R ECU or someone just wrote it on there. How would i go about finding out if it is? Do i just punch in the numbers off of it if there are any?

Then he was cool enough to give me an extra shift linkage piece that he had laying around.

The hole was probably from a volocity stack or w/e it's called. That silver thing on bumpers that they hook up an intake too kinda like a CAI but not.
