I havent found one... from what i have heard this is a good deal. My only concern is why the rpms fluctuate when first started

I didnt mean the d series didnt have potential. I just dont know what Im doing when it comes to building so for me the b series has more potential. I wouldnt know the first step to building the internals of the motor. I figured this is the easiest method for me.
Doing a swap isn't that much less involved than a build dude... or a boost for that matter. It takes a lot of work to put an entirely new and completely different motor in a car. Better start your homework

I hadn't seen that you weren't planning on doing the work yourself. I was trying to say that any option you choose(boost, build, swap, or any combination) is a pretty big undertaking... and you'd have to research and weigh all of the factors and make the decision that best suites your needs.

One fact: In the long run, you'll save money and get more bang for your buck if you learn how to do work yourself. This is true whether your swapping, building, or just changing a belt or the oil. $2,500 for a B16 isn't all that great. You're paying him mostly for the labor in that situation. I guarantee you could go on craigslist and piece together a B18 gsr motor by cherry-picking parts for a couple months (since you have a fully functional vehicle in the meantime) for just a few hundred bucks here and there. You'd save money, and have yourself a much better powerplant to start with if you decide to build or boost or whatever. Patience will pay off if you dedicate to learning the s**t, and doing it yourself.

For what i have researched 2500 is a good deal on a installed full b16 swap. I would love to learn how to do all this my self but i dont have the equipment nor the space to do so. I live in an apt. so its a bit harder. If I had the space and someone to help me and teach me I would most definately do it. I am here wondering if i should have the guy swap it for me or him build the d and boost it? Im not sure how easy and time consuming a bulid is.... If i did it would i be able to knock it out in one day? I cant exactly leave my car in peices without a garage to put it in you know?

youre best bet for your situation is buying another d, building it, then dropping it into your car

A b series swap is not hard and can be done in a several hours if you have everything
