You shouldn't have to use polishing compound, try Meguiars Paint Cleaner then a good wax, that should take the water spots off.

what do you mean, even the chunky ones? those are the ONLY ones!!! hahahaha

i used meguiars paint cleaner, and polish, and bought their wax...im gonna wax it today...the paint is looking better, but the CF hood still looks kinda gnarly...but thats what i get for driving my car hard, and then neglecting to wash it
