Picked up a 1991 Honda CRX Si prepped for SCCA class STS. It's a bunch of fun driving a car that weighs so little.

Putting the LS Meshies and all-season tires on for the drive home.

This means the DC5 is retiring from racing. The CRX will be resprayed silver though to carry on the tradition.

MODS:
Camber arms all around.
KYB AGX shocks all around
Extended top hats
QA1 400lb springs all around
3-way adjustable rear sway
ES Poly bushings EVERYWHERE (squeeks like a herd of mice getting stomped on)

Braided stainless brake lines
EBC Yellow Stuff pads

B&M Short throw shifter
Custom 2.25" cat back
Corbeau A4 drivers seat
JDM ZC gauge cluster

EDIT: Moar Pics!

Little bit of cancer here but I'll take care of that.

I bought this for a grand with brand new rims and tires, pretty affordable.

Technically it was my wife's Christmas gift to me. (she's a keeper).

My first modification was getting the f**king heat to work. The valve was rusted up so I hit it with WD40 and worked it around, now I have heat!

One thing that bugs me is this JDM cluster that reads in Km instead of MPH. f**king drives me nuts. I have the stock cluster and it's going back in the car asap. Until then I'm using my GPS to verify speed.

Anybody want a JDM ZC cluster?

Added a mod list to the first post.

Today I switched the Japanese cluster out in favor of the original stock one, 10 minutes and now I can tell how fast I'm going without using my GPS unit.

Next up will be a shifter extender. Some would be willing to spend $38 on a circuit hero extension, I'll make my own out of a turnbuckle for $10. The car has a B&M short shifter that's just a touch too far away for my tastes.

And here's a shot of the outside of the car as I tooled around today. I've been driving it around locally watching temps and checking for leaks. I figure it's better to find these now while local than later while driving to Stowe or Devens. It's also fun driving around on snowy roads with a rear sway bar set to full hard.

I get a lot of smiles from people who see this car. It's kind of a novelty how small it is. And noisy with that custom exhaust lol. Those lower slots in the front lip will get brake ducts, another project for this winter.

Other than the listed options I'm going to clean things up inside and out. Sand the body down and fix the small amount of cancer on the rear quarters and then get her painted silver like the RSX.

SCCA rules dictate stock engine. I can add intake, headers and exhaust and tune it but nothing internal nor a swap.

If I decide to say f**k the SCCA then I'm thinking B16A2 or boost the D.

You'll never need to tune it with just bolt-ons. Especially on a D16a6. I say f**k it, and boost the s**t outta the D. B-Swapped 4th Gen's look like ass under the hood. Shits all crammed in there...

Thanks Biz.

Bought a little piece of CC history for the CRX. OC's steering wheel setup is in a box on it's way to me as we speak.

Just finished gutting the car and it's going up to Kales Customs this weekend for a roll cage.

Seriously though I think gutting it removed all of 30lbs... Nothing weighs a damn thing in this car, not even the sunroof.
