civic stock internals cant handle much more power than a tuned greddy kit and still keep decent reliability

Carbon you little s**t. I am getting the greddy, i have looked f**ken everywhere possible and it doenst seem like that bad of a kit Clubsi.com has a bunch of s**t on it and alot of people were running up to 8psi on stock internals with the blue box pulling pretty good numbers. I agree that its not even close to being a powerful turbo but its enough to get me in the 13's and over the 200 hp marker which are my goals right now.

but if you cant use the blue box anyhow.. whats the point. we both know that you could piece together a similar GReddy-like kit for less money. Although the Hondata would be more $$.. but less money than GReddy kit + Hondata 8)

True but it just seems so much more simple to get the greddy kit, and run the shitty blue box till i have the money for a hondata.

Why not look into Uberdata???

Uberdata and Hondata give the same end result, modified fuel and ignition tables for boost, plus some extra goodies. Now, which one you want to use is up to you.

Uberdata offers a lot of good things that (to me) make it a practical choice. To begin with, it's free. 100%. Second, it's continually being updated and new features constantly being developed. Another positive is that you have the entire tuning environment right there in one package. All of the features are instantly available to you, and you don't have to get (buy) extra features. Uberdata has been proven solid by giving 40-60+whp gains in force inducted applications.

To use Uberdata you'll need a few things, a modified, OBD1 ECU for external EEPROM. You also need an EEPROM burner (so you can change your tune as your setup changes). There are available from $90 - $150, depending on which one you need. You need a reburnable chips, they're like $4. And you're set. ROMulator support hasn't been added to Uberdata yet. Last I saw, a guy by the name of Blake was working on it. I believe Blake is the head of tuning @ Uberdata <--dont quote me on that....

Hondata: ..To me, this is an expensive, but very popular, option. With loads of base tunes, the "tuning" part of your vehicle would pretty much be set. Same ECU requirements that Uberdata has would be needed for Hondata. Same features available, only I believe you have to purchase a "boost" and "datalog" option. Plus, to get the tuning environment, you need to be the dealer kit which comes with thier ROMEditor (which is a lot more money). Hondata gains are the same as Uberdata, with dyno charts available on the website. Tuning is essentially the same (once you have the dealer kit) as Uberdata. Hondata supports ROMulator, which is a "ROM Emulator" that loads the ROM into the device, and you run around updating your maps in real time. When you're done, you save the ROM to a file, burn it to a chip, and stick it in there permenatly.

...Soooooo.. Personally, I would use Uberdata (now after doing the major research on it, since I own an AEM EMS I guess I spent way too much money). They will also help you out with any information you need. They have a forum set up and stuff.

Look into it do the research and make a determination http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata/ could save you some cash..........

All turbo systems need research from pre-fabs to customs..........do it now instead of later after the big boooooooom.
