i'd worry about the bottom end giving out before the head. build the bottom end, get a tune and you'll feel so much better about hitting that button.stevex said:Possibly a Zex Cam, springs, and retainers, or no need?
There is a deffinate need if he puts in a cam.watisjdm said:maybe a cam and cam gear for more power but dont really need springs and retainers cause he will only be running 75 shot not 150 or more

stevex said:I understand you have to be safe with nitrous, but with a upgraded fuel pump, 310 cc injectors, a new clutch, and a fpr, in my opinion I feel I can honestly run a dry 75 shot safely on my y8. If I ever decide to run a 100 shot, that is when I need block work (pistons, rods, crank, etc.), but with me being on a budjet, this will be my higest shot on this motor.
its really not safe.. it GREATLY reduces reliability.. ANY power adder does even more when you factor in the fact that you are RACING an economy car... ive been through two trannys on this car.... i blew up the stock one with the oem clutch then i blew up one with an ACT clutch that honda freshly built... im on my third tranny i now have an exedy clutch... I f**king LOVE nitrous.. i will NEVER own a car that doesnt have a bottle.. i TOTALLY believe in it being the most perfect power adder for a relatively stock car.. but the risk is still there and relatively high... miss a shift and bounce off the rev limiter WOT with the spray on... i blew the top off a spark plug and luckily.. it didnt hit anything coming out.. that was pretty much the moment i realized i could blow my motor.. i still spray.. lol but it COULD destroy my engine..stevex said:I understand you have to be safe with nitrous, but with a upgraded fuel pump, 310 cc injectors, a new clutch, and a fpr, in my opinion I feel I can honestly run a dry 75 shot safely on my y8. That sounds scary... lol. You should get that "window" (I think thats what its called). It won't let you turn the nitrous on too early and cuts it off at a preset rpm.oc_civic said:its really not safe.. it GREATLY reduces reliability..
