If you just replaced your front speakers and all of the sudden no sound from any then you do have a grounded speaker connection and it is most likely at the speaker terminal since you just put them in. If it was mounted a little off center the terminal could touch the door sheet metal and boom...no sound. This is a protection feature of aftermarket decks to keep it from messing up the deck.

Your problem sounds like your front speakers are possibly blown, disconnected, or possible bad wiring to the speakers which could be behind the radio, in the door boots or at the speaker. In rare cases it could be the radio that is bad. Sometimes one of the amps inside the radio can go bad resulting in no sound. This usually comes in the form of two speakers not working whether it be the two front, two rear, two left or two right but never crossed such as front left and rear right. You can always pull speakers out and pop them with like a 9 volt battery or something to see if they move or test them with an ohm meter to see if they read 4 ohms at rest (both scenario's disconnected from the radio to prevent damage or misreading).
And to everyone, you do not need to replace your factory wiring if it is not damaged. Factory wiring can handle much mor than what just an aftermarket or factory deck will put out. It will also handle most common amplified setups with ease. The only time you should look at replacing factory wiring is if it has been damaged by a wreck or electrical fire or something of that sort. Factory wiring usually out lives the vehicle itself unless tampered with. And if you were to replace it you would definatley not need to do it with 12 gauge. That is a little excessive, I would say more like 16 gauge for amped setups. And the answer is no to if one speaker comes disconnected that all stop working. That would only happen if the disconnected wire is touching ground or all the speakers are wired in series which any normal factory setup is not. Hope all this info is helpfull to your problems.
