okay guys thanks for the comments. So you all suggest that the best way (if I can afford it) is to go for a b18c engine....but which one?

The b18c5 is the best, i know, but it is way of my budget...i could afford the b18c1 but will it provide just as much power as the H22 or not??

Also, you guys all agree that if I want to go further with the motor (supercharge, turbo ..whatever) its best to get a B18c?

Any advice appreciated cuz I dont wanna splash out on shipping and all that (to the UK) and be unhappy with the outcome!

the B18C5 in my opinion, isn't worth the money, you'll be fine with the B18C1, that is the best motor. If you ever read the import magazines, look in the sections where they give out specs on the drag cars.... alot of them have the B18C1 engine... Of course there's probably about $50,000 in those engines, but you get my point. :P
I did the b18c1 swap in my civic and when i was asking around at all my local shops everyone of them told me to get the B18C1.... and they were right.

Rc29b, is the b18c1 a straight drop in swap....i mean you dont need to do things like remove the power streering, get motor mounts, add an LSD tranny like you do with the H22 swap, do you?

Also, what is it like to drive....got any 1/4 mile times??

Fianlly, ever raced a H22 civic??

nope, it should be a straight drop. and you don't need LSD, but it is always nice.....
its not too much more impressive in the 1/4 mile by itself, but you will definitly notice the power difference, its like night and day.....

I'd'definitely save the extra money for a B18C1, The C5 is all about bragging rights in my honest opinion.

A lot of stuff I've heard in here is pretty false, but whatever, you do what you want to do. What exactly do you want to do with this car? What car is it going into? How deep are your pockets?

For motor companies I recommend Hmotorsonline.com, Import salvage, passwordjdm. I honestly would not buy from anyone else. Make sure you ask about shipping costs, since you live in the UK you'll probably get raped on shipping from the US companies. Good luck.

The ngine is for a 94 civic hatchback. You can see the pic in members rides. The thing is everyone in the UK expects something to be under the bonnet and likes to test it and so I want a powerful engine which will enable me to beat people with Golfs, Focuses etc. But also I need it for everyday use and so need it to handle quite well and need my power steering. hence, I have decided against the H22a. I can afford to spend about £3k - 4k which works out to be about $5000 i think.

Yeah hmotoronline was recommended by another guy also and they do good deals. Sent them an e-mail about shipping but they just dont reply!! :x
