noob to owning a civic

Today was a good day. LX cluster with tach and only 53k miles on it came in today. Now just gotta make it through the weekend and probably Monday. I will be taking ownership of the hatch and then debate what to order next. Been looking at the CTR lips on ebay $72 free shipping for both. For that price anything is possible when it comes to fitment. Anybody have any luck with those ebay PU lips.

I'm personally not a fan of the CTR lips. The flares are too sharp. Certain cars can pull it off but most can't IMO. I prefer the mugen style if you're going to get a knock-off lip. Last I heard, used OEM lips were going for like $150. Only issue for you is you'd have to get it paint matched .

I like how the CTR looks on a ek hatchbacks. The Mugen is nice as well but I am gonna try the CTR first and then the Mugen next. Found a seller on eBay front and rear both style for $72. The feedback say they fit really good. Rather be out $72 then a $150.

Yes the wheels are huge but like i said in earlier post they came with car. Found some 16x8 +20 offset, after the first of the year gonna save up and get.

Ebay fitment on lips are usally a 50/50 shot, but you probably have much better ods if there are alot of reviews on the particular buyer saying that they fit well. I personally perfer the mugen or type r styles, but i dont dislike the ctr's.

Yea I agree with you on the fitment issue of ebay. From reading the reviews the guy sales good fitting lips going by a few of the feed backs.

Maybe when and if I blow the motor. But for now my goal is do a Vitara build with a new turbo setup. Has a greddy d-series turbo kit on it. Will post up pics of the engine sometime tomorrow.

I'm likin this build. The rims actually don't look bad in the pics. But if they're 18's then they're pretty big. I wouldn't let others opinions change your mind though, if you like them, enjoy them. I'm definitely tuned in for the lip fitment though.

I am actually liking the rims. When I add CTR front and rear lip it should look a lot sweeter looking. I need to lower the front right corner to even the look out. Later on down the road I plan on getting some 16x8 but will probably keep the 18x8.5 I forget the offset and they are not sticking out or scrubbing. So far so good.

Yea not much has changed. I use to work at the mall years ago so happy to be out of retail work.
