So you are saying that I can send this xenocron.com my ecu and they will chip it and put a good setup on it? Or will I be responsible for tuning the thing.
Yes, you can send xenocron your ecu and he'll chip it with turboedit, which would give the ABILITY to tune it, but then you'd have to tune it yourself. Heres the run down of how it works..
Hook a wideband 02 sensor up to your car and air/fuel gauge, read the output you get with your car being boosted.
Datalog the session (either dyno or street tune). Then pop the chip out of your ecu, use a chip burner to burn new settings, replace the chip, repeat, until your at perfect settings.
So, heres a scenario. You start your car after your kit is all hooked up, then you look at your a/f gauge (hooked up to the wideband) and see your running rich. Then you run your car and "datalog" or record the settings, then in this case, youd lower the fuel mixture since your rich, remove the ecu chip, burn new settings to it, then replace the chip, until your exactly where you want to be.
So then your probably wondering how do I get to that point? When you send your ecu to xenocron, he'd probably supply you with a basemap (a general idea of what your car settings should be at with boost). Of course basemaps are on the conservative side, meaning youd be running rich, so then youd do the above steps until you get it down to where it should be at.
Finally heres the steps to getting a complete engine management setup in your case:
1) send ecu to xenocron and get it chipped with turboedit
2) buy a wideband o2 sensor, a/f gauge and chip burner
3) do the above steps
4) have fun
