I'm going to highly advise you to not go into automotive, and most anyone in the field will agree. Lay offs are constant, jobs pay s**t and are hard to find, and anymore it's about ripping off the customer.

they aren't laying off in our area and once he is done going through that school he won't have an issue finding a job. it's one of the highest respected automotive schools in the country and over all in all technical fields. it isn't some shitty uti. though I will agree it doesn't pay good and it is about ripping customers off. but you will have work

And how long is school? I study reports daily showing trends of fields on a steady decline. What os already failing now, is only getting worse. I'm not referencing the Midwest. ...I'm referencing the entire country.

Its not bad here either (Minnesota). I'm going to school for it this fall. Its 2 years. I already have a guaranteed job although, but there are plenty of places looking for workers though.

2 years and you get a degree in applied science with a focus on automotive technology. you don't necessarily have to work in a dealership either with the degree. I'm maintenance at a steel mill, we also have an automotive shop you can work in. and right around graduation companies like BMW be/Audi Toyota and others stop in looking to interview and higher. tee is also job fairs throughout the year with 150 plus companies looking to higher as many students as possible


we pay way to much money, but its easy as s**t to get a job. I was offered 5 and I wasn't even looking
