I started reading this and though you guys were nuts planning a meet in November....while it's still April, then I noticed the dates. Whoops. I'd love to go to a meet sometime, but it's car show season now (starting saturday woohoooo) and between shows and scarborough faire, I won't have a free weekend until late may I think

I am really going to come up to one of the DFW meets my husband and I drive up to Richardson all the time just to eat lunch. So I asked him if he would want to go to a meet and hes down with it. When is the next DFW meet btw?
If we plan a meet in Dallas. We have to do it at a lake. This time it will be at the same place where the first one took place at. We have to do it around a weekend where there is no car shows that way we can get everyone to come out and hang out.
Im thinking having the next meet at the lake early like around 12 and hang out for a while and then have a photoshoot afterwards in downtown Dallas. Blake and I know a great place that can hold alot of cars. So space is no problem. The thing we're trying to get more members because it seems like the southcentral section is dying. Well not alot of members are in here. I know me and Eric have been trying to recruit people into clubcivic. We're trying to get this section bigger. The thing is we need dedicated members. I know we have a few in here. I want some suggestions on what I just said.

I think 12 is a great time... You can sleep in and still make it. I think it should also be on a Saturday.. I know I am going to drive home that night. I dont mind driving home late. But I dont want to get started late. I told the guy I just bought my hatch from about CC. I told him about the meets and I think he would probably come. I also dont hang with the other "honda people" around here they are all stupid ricers. I mean I would not even mind if they were cool. But they just jack with people and I am not down with that. So other than Joe hes got a CRX I dont know anyone else to bring.
Thats all I have right now. But I might think of some more stuff.
thanks liz for the response. I've been looking and I was thinking about July 16th. I dont see any major events going on that weekend. Its on a saturday and its about a good 3months in advance. Plenty of time to get off from work and plus its the summer. People are not in school. What do you guys think?
I think that sounds good, count me in and the hubby. We can bring whatever. As soon as we get a seperat thread made. You can put me down. Also you said it will be a Joe Pool Lake right? I know what Grapevine Mills is and I have seen the signs but I dont know where it is right off hand. So meeting at the mall, I think that normally happens. But it would help me out a lot. We eat on Greenville. Tyler has no good Chinese food at all, or any good asian food.. Every place here is called China King or something. So we go to Dallas to a lot of different foods that we cant get here. Or if we can it really sucks. Or to buy food to cook that we cant get here. So most of the time we just drive up eat, maybe watch a movie or look in a few store and head home. Yes, I know its sad, but we just like good food.
Also July 9th is cool for me too, either one is good. I would just rather do the date more people can come. I dont have any shows or books coming out so I am pretty flexible..

Also is there anywhere on the site where you have pics of your car? I did a search and I could not find one. If not you should post some up, looks nice from here. I am going to go shopping in Bangkok for a day and also visit Chiang Mai. My friend has a beach house near Chumpon i think it is... Thats where I we plan to spend most of our time.. Me might fly to Laos or Cambodia for a day or to. My other friend thats going really likes Laos and has from friends there. They do some cool hiking there.

lucky you. I've been trying to go to Bangkok for like 4yrs and I could never go because its either funds or time off from work that is holding me back. Hopefully I will go. My friend also has a beach house in phuket. So I really want to go.
Is his house still there? I know phuket got hit pretty hard... I know my buddy Joes place didnt get touched I dont know the name of it I just know its near Chumpon I think.. Hehe, I am just going.

No his house is still standing. Luckily he wasnt there when that happend. About the knock off parts. Theres tons of knock off parts over there. My friend's brother owns a junkyard over there. If I talk to him soon. I'll give you an address and phone number as well. So you can go and check it out.
Yeah that would be awesome... I was not really sure what the car seen was there. So I was not sure if it was worth looking for not. I mean I not looking for an engine. But maybe some smaller part, probably more like interior stuff. Unless I just walk up on something I cant live with out. But I would love to get the address. Is is in Bangkok?
