lol thats exactly what i was thinking..no "super car" should be a hybrid period.
Agreed. You guys read that it was a hybrid... but did you read that it has 3 electric motors? Not 1... 3.i bet the torque curve of the electric motor compliments the v6 nicely. anyone hating on the "hybrid" trend is just slow to change. electric motors are nothing new. they just lost popularity when gas was $0.50 a gallon. only thing i don't like is the overly done exterior. hopefully for production they tone it down a notch or two
negative torque on turns! i'm guessing the inside wheel gets a little negative torque to help turn-in the cornersAdditionally, two more motors can instantly send negative or positive torque to the front wheels during cornering for improved handling and efficiency
And what does 3 electric motors equal? Weight. They better figure out a way to lighten this car up a hell of a lot to stuff electric motors and a v6 and still hold true to the original NSX's handling characteristics that made it so great.Agreed. The torque you end up with on electric motors is usually VERY nice - something which Honda typically fails with. I'm excited to see the final numbers. In the mean time, I can drool at the styling.
IDK about the styling but other than that i agree.Agreed. You guys read that it was a hybrid... but did you read that it has 3 electric motors? Not 1... 3.

Electric motors can be more power to weight efficient than gas motors. A quick google search showed that a electric engine of a toyota prius gives .84 hp / lb and 3.68 tq / lb of engine weight while an RX-8 engine gives .92 hp / lb and .57 tq / lb of engine weight. And what does 3 electric motors equal?
