ahhhhh like nsx is liek a v6 like ahh like ahh with only like ahh 300 hp...
as opoosed to the uhhhh uhviper...

haha i read that article..very informative actually..since u see the times for 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 mile...
whats funny is that the henessey viper was sooooooooooooooo fast compared to the stock viper..twice the hp almost...the stock viper was liek number 10 out of 14..where the henessey viper was like the 2nd or 3rd...
it was second, right behind the lola champ car which is basically a f1 car, and the henessey viper actually had a higher top speed. that car is absolutley insane, 1100 ft/lbs torque

and the nsx only runs a low 13 but quarter mile isn't the only factor in calling something a great car. its got fantastic allaround performance, sraight line, braking, handling, looks, reliability...but thats also why it costs so much

just like the average honda owner... goes straight to comparing hp and wont even bring up torque numbers ;)

didn't you hear? torque doesn't matter...

but i'd rather have killer top end than low end torque anyway. not saying that i want 400 hp at 8250 rpm and 167 ft/lb at 7000 rpm, but the fastest cars, like f1 cars or high revving v8's or v12's in ferraris, lambos, basically the fastest cars out there have better top end and lower torque, because of the high revs.

high revs dont give hp bro, they just let you use more of the motors potential...

without the higher rpm on those cars they wouldnt be able to get to the speeds they do without a 12spd transmission.

uh, actually they do. how do you think those race cars with 3.0L v12s make 500hp? They rev to 13 grand thats how. The ford cosworth engine makes 800hp or something crazy on 2.65 liters and revs to 14,000 rpm with 3psi of boost, revs do let you use more of the motors potential, which is giving you more power.

take the b16a2 for example, if makes shitty torque because its so small. most stock cars making 160hp are in the 2L or above range at LEAST, this is excluding boosted engines. the way that it makes that amount of hp being so small is its very high flow head and variable valve timing but most importantly, it revs. revs = power, simple as that.

I'm not bad mouthing the Viper.

Porsche does enough of that. Their still pissed that some "inferior" Dodge bested them in GT2 and encouraged GM to up the ante with the Corvette. Now they have two problems in GT2.

The NSX is a bad ass car period. I've also seen stock NSX's pull high 12's on the 1/4m. btb what facts do you have that bolt-ons dont do s**t to nsx motors?? where you read that bullpoop.
Have you guys seen the other vid i posted on streetfire of a turboed nsx pullin 10.6 @ only 15psi of boost on pump gas and street tires with problems in the clutch, you could even hear the slipage on second gear. I think it's the same nsx of this vid, not quite sure tho.
