Yeah I need to make calls to our Windows Server group in order to do work.... But I just email them what I plan on doing proactively during the scheduled down time (if needed) and I get an OK. There are processes here we need to go through. Creating something called a change control. (basically tells everyone that matters to that server that there is an unscheduled downtime). so....
