I just installed a Zalman VGA cooler and Ramsinks on the vid card, I am getting artifacts in Windows only (not in games). Temps are all just fine on the vid card and everywhere else.. could it be driver related? Any ideas?

it's possible. update all your drivers, including mobo and 3dcard.

random artifacts are sometimes due to electrical disruptions... if u have a multimeter, do a voltage check

k..... drivers are newest available... mobo and vid card.. i'll check w/mm in the AM.....

with that cooler on, I flashed the bios to the xt version of the card (I got a 9800pro 256bit 256MB) but it was doing that before i did the flash FYI.. Stellar midgrade card. I can run ANYTHING full tilt w/2-4xAA 6XAF..... its nice.

yeah... they arent bad, actually barely noticeable and go away for example on a web page, if you scroll...... and sometimes a few pixels will show up say if you highlight something..... but then when you click off it, it goes away.

no virues, no spyware. new drive, freshly defragged... etc.

Honestly I dont know, which is a MAJOR problem.... Hopefully early next week I will be getting it, I NEED a car.... I need a job, and no car = no job essentially.... The problem is finding one in good condition in my area....
