joe, i am curious how the hell does one become a MOD? is it just brought up in the mod lounge or what?
I wouldnt say im a flamer (I dont insult people, ok well only in my defense and joe90824769082376982376, I wasnt infering you were talking to me) but I sure dont stray from the drama... I like to post my opinion, and people dont seem to like me posting my opinion.
This site and a couple others I frequent (computer sites) kill SOOOOOOOOOO much time at work ist insane. so jumping in on a little drama, starting a little drama with the weak is MAJORLY entertaining.

itsmycookie - As far as picking mods go... There are two ways it happens.
1. There's a mod needed somewhere.... so somebody makes a post about it in the mod forum... and we all vote on somebody.. then Jay Jay gets final say (usually he agrees with us) and he makes them a mod
or
2. Jay Jay just decides he wants you as a mod, sends you a PM and there you go.. you're in.
me, personally. Jay Jay IMed me one day and asked me what I thought about the state of the site.. what I thought was wrong with it. and if I had any suggestions to fix it. Then he asked me if I wanted to be a mod... and then he asked me what sections I wanted to mod.. and poof, I was a mod.

f**k I asked to be a mod a couple months ago (pm'd Jay Jay) and got NO RESPONSE what so ever.......
As much as I dont care about the site, I have many ideas to continue improving it. I just dont think with my shitty attitude an inabilty to stray from drama it will never happen. Plus there are mods that really DISLIKE me (as hate is a powerful word).

As far as I know...Jay Jay doesnt respond to people who ask to be a mod.
I dunno, I guess I just made myself stick out and showed that I cared about the site and eventually he recognized that.

Thats weird b/c a mod (at the time) told me to PM him and let him know.......
The fact that bugs me about all these new mods is the fact that I was TOLD to ask, I did, got nothing. And then the biggest hater on this site (skinnyJdawg) gets a modship. now THAT is f**ked up. oh and now Anekin gets one.......

not necessarily true. I wasnt friends with any of the mods when I became a mod.
I believe both of them are regional mods too. The position needed to be filled and we determined that they were best qualified.
