All I'm saying to you is the facts that most people don't think its a girls car proves that the definition is NOT set in stone because its based on opinion. Like I said, there are hundreds of definitions for "A girl's car." Ask people and you will find this out. What you say is true, manufacturers market towards a specific audience, but all that proves is what a few people think. And last time i checked, a definition was recognized by more than a few people, its usually ALL people who agree on a definition, like the def. for "chair" or whatever. Its one of those things that is based on perception, no matter what it was "supposed" to be.

Yeah we could go on and on about this really.

But with the parameters I set forth (definitions from all major automakers) it IS a girls car. It is styled for women, marketed to women, and WAY more women drive/own it then men. So with that in mind its a girls car. Deny it all you want.

With your thinking you can say the same thing about a VW bug. When that thing is OBVIOUS that its a girls car and it also fits all parameters stated above.

EDIT: Also people that say its not a girls car are going by a completely different set of parameters. like styling for example. or the fact they own one and dont want ot admit it.

Well if i drove a bug, I'd shoot myself, but before that I would admit that a drive a girls car. Im not insecure, it's just my opinion, based on facts, that my EM1 is not a girls car. By the parameters set by Honda, yea, it is, but does everyone on the earth agree with the parameters set by Honda no. I am one of those people, and you are not. The fact is, people judge on whether a car is a "girl's car" or not based on styling, attitude, reputation, and maybe performance, NOT what the manufacturer says. If a 502 corvette was marketed to women, but women didn't like it because it was too hard to control and men bought it instead, would it be a girls car? No. You are right though, by the definitions set by the manufacturer it IS a girls car. Case closed. But my whole point in this whole discussion, is the majority of people do not base THEIR opinions on someone elses. They make their own, for their own reasons. Thats what an opinion is. And stating whether a car is girly or not, is an opinion. Not a fact.
