I've quit about 4 times since I started playing back in 05. The first time was for a few months, the next about a month longer, the next for 6 months, and then after that I left for over a year until wotlk came out. I fear that the next time I quit, it will be permanent. When it comes right down to it though, honestly, everytime I have came back, I have played less overall than I had the time before.

And that mastery thing looks exactly like their other game Diablo. I wouldn't be surprised if that's where they got it from (if not from another one of their games that uses the same type of talent tree skill).
Damn. It makes it easier for me to understand what you would need for tanking. I like it. Cause as of right now. I sorta find it a bit confusing on trying achieve certain status. being uncritable . being hit capped. having x amount of dodge, parry block and so forth.
You want 540 defense and 263 melee hit cap first and foremost as far as I know. Then go from there. Do you want to gear for avoidance, mitigation, soaking, etc. If you have the addon called gearscore, my gearscore is only 4.9k but I'm geared for avoidance / mitigation so when I do raids and ESPECIALLY heroics, healers barely heal me.
And I don't understand why people consider you a noob if you use Seal of WIsdom as a pally tank. I keep threat perfectly fine with SoW as opposed to SoV, even when DPS do 6k+.

heroic strike and throw are more than enough to keep me near the top of every omen.
People need to f**king realize no one wants to carry your undergeared f**king ass through raids. I was just in a ToTC10 and this tank didn't turn Dreadscale away from the raid, got burning bile on more than just him, and wiped us. EASY ass fight. I was spamming chat with "TURN THE BOSS AWAY FROM THE RAID" and he just stood there doing nothing, kept turning the boss towards the raid.
I don't mind if you're undergeared. As long as you know the fights and you play your role. But if you don't know the fights AND don't listen, then that's where you become a problem for me.

im still pretty new to this and i run through dungeons as a warrior and i always have the 1st or 2nd highest DPS and the lowest gear score out of everyone. Every now and then people talk s**t about my gear score but i dont see why having a low gear score is so bad when im causing the most damage and hardly need healing.

Yup. Half the people who play this game have the newest expansion. It allows their ego to level up to 85 while everyone else is stuck at 80.
GearScore pretty much owns this game right now. Almost everyone is all about it. It's f**king retarded. GearScore only says what a play can potentially play up to, not what he/she can actually do. But people still rate players by it.
Rofl. It's so true. I responded to a trade chat tell about a togc run earlier and just so happened to be wearing my pvp gear (which is like 5600) and the guy was like 'meet me here in dalaran, blah blah blah, ohhhhh s**t your gearscore is 5600", then invites me to the raid. Didn't even bother to check the fact that it was my pvp gear. Luckily I also have a baller pve set (like 5400) too and didn't step on too many peoples toes.

You think WoW is more of a grind than FFXI? I quit FFXI for precisely the opposite. FFXI is such a boring grind. I never had the drive to max out any of my classes.
Hahaha, you can easily get a job to level 75, especially now. I now friends who do it leisurely in about two weeks.
For example, from level 74 to level 75 its about 46,000 experience in FF, however in WoW its freaking millions, MILLIONS! Its rediculous. Also WoW depends on quests and quest alone. At least from what I have played.
Personally I think WoW is for the less advanced gamer. Where as FF actually has a elite story line and battle system.
Now I will give it to WoW when it comes to PVP, other than quests I also believe that the PvP aspect is what drives the success of WoW. I have played WoW and I am not challenged by the game.
However I do not call myself and elite game either but I am an avid gamer.
On another note Square Enix just released news of the new level caps, the highest level to achieve will be 99 however they are going to break it down into 3 updates. The community thinks its going to go down as 85, somewhere between 90-95, then 99. Also to mention there is an additional three expansions that they are adding during that process.
Im not knocking WoW's success because its obviously apparent that it done well. Surpassing every MMO in registered users.
