omg!!1 Jezeks' Hatch is FINALLY in the shop

no offense but its gonna take alot more than yellow paint/rotas and knock-off seats. I have had numerous photoshoots for mag's and i still havent gotten in.

there's a few members on here that have gotten their pics in magz with far less done to their rides than a turbo'd pheonix yellow turbo'd h22 hatch

well one of them has a red 6th gen coupe... basic boltons, a few suspension goodies, and a few cosmetic upgrades... nothing that super... fo sho not as sechsy as a turbo'd h22 hatch covered in cf and a fresh coat of py paint

in my most humble opinion.. being "magazine material" and being in the readers ride section of a magazine are NOT the same thing.. BOTH cars we are talking about (gabe, and jezek) are both really really nice... but the reality is both are not really ready for any kind of magazine feature..

now if he had 19" rims and decals everywhere.... then yes... i think he'd have a chance to be featured in a magazine

"magazine material" to me is a car that a magazine would actively seek out to shoot... its not a car thats in the back ground at a show where if you turn the page just the right way with the correct lighting.. you can see the drivers seat.. lol not talking s**t just saying.. and again i like both cars a lot..

this will really go no where... some magazines are looking for different things... and i can appreciate what you are saying.. but i also dont look at every car in a magazine and understand why its in there... A LOT of times its politics.. look at the current honda tuning magazine.. my friend Tai made the cover... his car is really clean.. its a very nice car, and makes a lot of power.. but is that why he got the shoot? nope.. a friend of a friend, set it up for him... they even told him what shoes to wear...

we could finish this VIA pm as to not drive this thread off topic..

but the bottom line for me is simple.. a magazine SHOULD feature the best of the best.. a car that hits every point perfectly.. they are BOTH very nice.. and i want to stress that im NOT saying anything bad about what they have done, i like both... BUT i dont think they are magazine feature quality, BUT even with that said.. BOTH are better than SOIME cars that have been featured in SOME magazines... but thats very broad..
