in post 12 why does yer 1st pick have different sheels than yer 2nd pic
1st pic is old, as is the pic in the first post. the second pics w/stock rims is how the car looks now... sold the black rims
(they got curbed and nicked).. i just felt like it was time for something else. if you notice the car isn't as shiney either...
needs a wax job pretty badly... you'll also notice the leaves are on the trees in the pic w/the black wheels
ekshowciv,
well the sti's power is just about right on tap... the evo's turbo doesn't kick in till about 3000rpm, so it's quite exhilirating going from lag to all the power right there
i like it a lot. i haven't driven an STi extensively, but the evo's definitely more responsive in the handling department. STi, as far as i can tell, is a better daily driver. the evo gets more tiring on long trips and doesn't have cruise control. if you want something more raw, then get the evo. if you want something you can live with a little better day-to-day and has an awesome powerband, then the STi's your car. it's pretty much what all the articles say. the evo has a raw, responsive feel to it that is hard to explain. at the limit it feels like it could understeer or oversteer with just your slight input, whereas the STi seems a tad more sluggish and understeers easier (it feels more like a fwd car than the evo). also, you never feel like your car is out of control, it's very confidence-inspiring, and very predictable in the corners. simply put, i chose the evo because it's easy to make power, but not so easy to get a chassis to handle as well.
