like i said in the other post.... there's one major pass that you have to cross over right around the CA/OR border and thats pretty much it, they keep the 5 fairly clear... i would definately suggest that you carry some kind of traction devices with ya, just in case

i've never needed chains driving through that part of I5, they keep it clear very well up there

Todd.... the names Josh... and i can vouch for the pass being clear... unless your catching a fresh blizzard you should be ok... better to be safe than sorry and bring traction devices.

Do what he says.. ;)

You can get a set of chains at Les Schwab and if you don't use them you can return them... heh.. That's what I did, when I drove from Whidbey Island.Wa to Coeur D' Alene, Id in the winter time..

I wasnt sure if you guys have les schwabs down there but thats the best way to go... thats what i did last winter when i went and visited my sister in cali... and one other suggestion... dont run your 17/16/15 rims when you do put chains on... my friend did that and i laughed my ass off cause it tore them up... you should be ok regardless but there are a few people that are percautious...

im moving to eureka, wont be driving in the "ca caravan"

anyways, i aint even gonna try to put chains on my s**t, if i need em im just gonna filp a b***h, cause i aint about to try to tear up my fenders, chains + dropped car = no no.

and no it isnt hard to drive in the snow, just drive slow and dont try to make any sudden manuverrs and you will be fine.

the more the marrier, just be sure to let them know that this isnt a meet to show off how loud you can bump, how much trash you can throw on the ground, or how much you can peel out or rev up. this is a meet to meet new people with the same interests/passions, and put some faces to the names

josh, we should meet up sometime before january... to throw out ideas and shiz

This is a huge maybe on my part, but this sounds kinda sweet... Add me to the maybe list if you want... I'm going to have a discussion with my partner in crime and see if he's down to caravan with me... assuming, of course, you guys have room for a CRX and CRV from Sacto... 8)

Yo, and if you wait a couple of weeks, I know that the digital videa cameras at Costco are going to be dropping some in price for the holidays.. Thats what I am waiting for.
