so if anyone saw in the "describe the person above you" thread i mentioned a new car may be coming in my life...well went today and paid for it and picking it up on wednesday....got a straight trade for my Chevy Trailblazer they gave me 7500 for it and gave me the car same price....wont really be mod it too much maybe a few things its more or less a winter car so i dont drive my civic in snow and what not

it has small rust on the right quarter that they are fixing for free (no just bondo....like sand it down repaint the whole shebang)

its an 02 with 102xxx miles on it.

7500 is wayy too much in my opinion.. especially for a wagon, nobody wants them.
Me and my dad before he died built his 03 wrx, we put a full sti swap/sti tranny sti interior and carpet and everything, it was black lowered and had gold sti bbs's, 80k original milers. ill post pics i only have a few from our build, but anyways he gave it to me and i sold it for only 8500, thats the best offer we got for it after like 4 months, i'd do anything to get it back now though now that he died and all.
They are amazing cars though man, have fun working on it

I hate bug eyes the most. My favorite models are the 06-07, followed by the 04-05, then the 1st gen 92-00 then probably the new 2011 models then the 07-10, then finally the bug eye .

My friend just sold his 06. Thing hauled ass too. Had a Blouch 16g turbo, 3" gutted cat & catback exhaust, STi top mount, Cobbs Accessport, and a really good tune. Innovative Tuning if anyone of you have heard of it. It's only about 45 minutes from us. Apparently, a lot of people from all over the U.S. go to them with their WRX's. Anyways, my friend was just shy of maxing his injectors. He could've maxed them out but told the tuner to turn it down just a touch. I think his peak psi was 19 or 20 but by redline he was only at like 15 or 16. Love beating STi's with it . And pretty much all of them around here still have the factory VF39's. Kids just throw on exhausts.

He sold it for an 06 TSX. Definite downgrade in power, but definite upgrade in luxury and baller status. He let me drive it the other day. It's so smooth, quiet, and comfortable. I need a new car...

@vjf - i was a little worried too but its very small maybe the size of my pinky nail it was in mass all its life and only came down here to ct a week ago when the dealership picked it up so im not too worried about it

@ paul....around here wagons are very hard to come by and people do want them and around here they go for around 11k for this year and what not the other cheapest i found was 10k so in my area its a steal

@ john i wish i could do all that to it, its basically my winter car i may do an exhaust intake manual boost controller and a few other goodies here and there to make it a little quicker and louder but nothing really too much...the bug eyes are not my favorite either but i was thinking of doing a 04 conversion if i get the chance and the money

we only have 2 wagons in our local group... i wanted one myself, but my girl talked me out of it. i'm hoping to find a cheap older outback sport as a 2nd winter car since the mr2 gets garaged on first snowfall

don't worry about getting an intake for the car, the stock one is just fine. just replace uppipe, downpipe, catback and get it tuned. you'll be happy for a while with that for a while. you can look into upgrading the turbo, injectors, and fuel pump later down the road... i hear E85 is really fun. hoping to go that route by 2012.

i was thinking a turbo back ebay exhaust with the $20 manual boost controller to maintain the stock 12 psi boost (i hear sometimes they can fluctuate) and getting the tune for sure

No hate intended.. Subaru's are amazing cars, I guess its all personal preference. I'd take any sedan over any wagon any day. thats just me, i'd take a sedan with the same mods with 60k more miles over a wagon with the same mods and 60k less miles. Thats just how i am. STI SWAP FTW!!! get that 6 speed!! That would be amazing who cares about the bugeyes they are still sweet.

Oh and check out the full turboback ebay exhausts, only $300 bucks and thats what my dad had for about 2 months because he knew he was doing an sti swap but wanted the exhaust for the few months until he put it on. I might still have it laying around the garage i can send it to ya for $100, it has the downpipe, uppipe, test pipe, axelback and muffler. It still looks pretty new and they arent bad.

If your on a budget, its just a pipe. Its not that bad but it beats 1200 for agency power, turboxs, invidia, cobb, and so on and so forth

yeah it is preference...like the bug eye is just taste i kinda like it....and actually the 5 speed is faster than the 6 with less shifting....my friends WRX and his brother STI raced and the wrx only has exhaust intake boost controller maybe one or two more things and he will be in top of 3 when the sti in top of 4th and be half a car length ahead....also with preference i want the wagon....all i see are sedans its gunna be nice to be different and i would defiantly take the wagon over sedan anyway...but thats just me
