Huh...this is what i got...

I'm DEADLY scared of getting jacked...theyve tried 4 times but i can tell theyre noobs. i have the JDM:CarBoy quick release and also the NRG quick release lock. A clutch lock, i hid the hood latch in a secret place ;)ha ha the 3rd time they tried getting around the quick release lock and my dog chico started barking from inside the house and they left some good Stanleys in my car ha ha. but also do EVERYTHING i can to prevent it from happening. My bro thinks its a dumb idea, but i also take my ECU, raised the sensitivity in the alarm (Viper) PassWord:JDM hood pins, and also some Ray's Engineering Anodized Lugz with 4 lug locks. we have a crappy garage, the door is busted halfway open from a drunken hit and run so i keep it outside and since my pops dont let Chico in the house, he puts him in the garage so i have his ass there to protect my baby lol. ppl 'round my area know what i have, TOO MANY ppl and thats scary...i have a B18C5 which i spent an entire summer with 2 jobs to get it. my neighbor hood is full of a bunch of old ppl and hella nice ppl and theyre way into the whole, "Neighborhood watch" thing...i have a 300 watt bulbs outside the garage. Its good because i dont think anyone would wanna go through the trouble of deterring all that when the alarm goes off, the neighbors will see everything cuz of the bulbs...BUT, makes it easier to spot :(
but i prefer it the way it is. I still worry about it 24/7.........!

Ive put more money on security rather than performance mainly because i got my EK cheap. just 4K from a paisa dealership because it had a rebuilt title, (D16y7) so my insurance wont put full coverage. im thinking of buying an EK hatchy shell with a good title and moving all that over. its gonna be a b***h as most of it i had my local shop do the labor and wiring....damn lol :x

One thing that sucks about putting money into these cars, they so easy to steal.
Anyone know the ratio of tuned Hondas that get jacked?.. Like how many get stolen for every 10 with semi mods?

I know this is Lojack's coverage range. This is from information compiled from their official website.

Don't insurance companies give you lower rates if you have anti theft parts in your car? I would be curious to how much. Great advice. Last year when I had my radio stolen from my EJ2 cause I had left the face plate on once it's the worst feeling in the world. You never think it will happen to you. Now that I have my EM2, I'll be thinking security before putting any mods on it. If it rolls they will steal it. I'll be probably doing this immobilizer thingy this summer! Great idea

I caught someone trying to break in to my EK Hatch at the mall one time lets just say that I spent more time explaining why I beat his a@! than the cops did actually arresting him, anyways I still have the car and it's okay but I have a friend who installs alarms at car toys he did something similar to the kill switch but since I have a alarm w/ remote start he had to bypass the clutch switch so in doing so he installed a switch into the car, so that even if you have the key and try to start it, it won't start cause it isn't seeing the clutch, but a siren inside the car is a very good idea, unless they have earplugs, but let's face it the truth be told that if they really want your car or something in it they are going to get it at some point in time unless you can watch your car every minute.

Oh and one more thing if you do have a alarm or other security features DON'T FORGET TO USE THEM (i.e. turning your alarm on) I forgot to do that one night at my house and I'm guessing some tweaker stole my Alpine my CD's radar detector, my Oakley sunglasses, and the key to my lugs out of my glove box, so right there I just gave everyone a perfect example of want not to do, but that's all he took he could have stripped my gauges out my engine parts, he didn't even take my sub.. anyways the point is the one time I forgot to turn my alarm on I got jacked that's all it takes, and yes getting in your car in the morning to go to work to find your trim ring for your deck sitting in the front passenger seat and a big hole in you dash is a pretty crappy feeling. And there's no one else to blame for it but myself.

i just got my car and im not doin anything to it until i get an alarm. i learned the hard way from my old car. i had a radio stolen. i was too lazy to bring in my radio face, i left it under my seat. suprize suprize they found it. then with the next radio i brought in the face but someone still broke the window but lucky didnt take the radio im assuming because they didn't find the face. but non the less it still cost me another window. after that i got and alarm and bought extra led lights to connect to the exsisting blinking light, and put them all over the car, in the headlights tailights reverse lights so everyone knew it had an alarm. It never got messed with again.

As for the fuel cut off switch, on the 01 and up civics the keys have chips in them so im assuming thats good enough. right?

after reading this thread i think im going to throw a siren inside the car i think thats probably the only thing that i dont have installed in mines but i would like to add in that could be another theft prevention is changing your door handles. on my si i've change my 99 si door handles to a 99 civic rear door handles it doesnt have the key holes but of course there ways around it but for the haters and noobies that likes to pop locks it helps..

That might help if anyone has a master key, but I can't remember ever having heard of someone stealing a Honda by picking the lock.
