Old carb'd rotary motors get awful gas mileage and don't make any power, good luck on the v8 man. i want to do one too, but I want to keep the rotary motor in a turbo 2 and keep it clean, but I don't need any more project cars.

Humm would of put a 13b in there street ported it and got the racing beat carb setup and threw a holley 650 four barrel on there.Hey but your car good luck with it =)
I could have done that and spent thousands of dollars on something that will cost me a thousand more every time it needs a rebuild, or I could have do the v8 swap, made more power and have alot more torque. Then when it breaks run to the junkyard and pick up another piece for cheap/free. I mean hell I live in the midwest, everyone and their mom have a 302 =)

I never said they dont make power, and that not even close to a street ported carbed 13b that you said. If I am not mistaken he is running a p-ported 13b. Thoes get rebuilt about every week due to the odd apex seal wear.

A p port is where they cover up the stock ports and drill a BIG hole into the front of the housing to shove air in

Notice how the street port is alot smaller and on the side not effecting the apex seal?

Since when is that carb'd or N/a or a 12A or first gen 13b. That is not anywhere close to driving on the street, and would have the shelf life of a fruit fly. I know my engines, and just because that one is fast, doesn't mean that car is even a car at all, that is just a super turbo motor with a tube chassis and probably carbon firber body.
