the only reason i said a smart ass comment was because you started the post showing off your car (i agree its a clean hatch, im not taking anything away from the car) but then in your post you said the lady told u the car had the ITR stock suspension, but when u got home u saw it had the skunk2 coils. i just thought to myself "this guy bought a car and didn't even know what it had on it and he's here trying to say its the s**t. he also mentioned he's gonna turbocharge a type r motor? wtf" (or whatever, u know what i mean) ya know. i hope u understand my point of view.

thats cool dude...when i said it had the typeR suspension, i was referring to the suspension as a whole - typeR axles, brakes, struts....i was just making a gerneralization....the lady that sold it to me was actually shocked when i showed up the next week with it slammed...it was one of the reasons i bought the car, while i was looking at it, i happened to notice the coilovers were already on it....and about the turbocharging - when i first bought the car, i really WAS going too...a friend of mine had practically talked me into it, and we knew a guy that was selling a turbo kit for my car, it wasnt some huge turbo kit either, im well aware of the misconception that you cant turbo a typeR, but you actually can, just dont plan on running high boost on the stock motor...but thats neither here nor there....anyways, i aint mad at ya

the reason you don't want to turbocharge the type r motor is because of the high compression.
high compression = all motor
low compression = turbo
a turbo will definitly bolt onto the motor because its basically the same thing as a gsr motor except its higher compression. (that's why u see so many boosted gsr's)
you can definlty boost on stock internals you just don't want to push it past 10 psi. turbo is a whole nother subject i don't want to get into right now. i have to go.
you have a very nice car on your hands. forget swapping the motor in the SI because the a/c because it just robs u of power. an EG chassis is lighter too, and IMO it looks a lot better. sell the SI and throw the money into the motor playa.

^^ yeah, i know all about the compression issue...we were gonna turbo it, and just run it at 6 - 8psi....keep it low...but i just figured to screw it, its not worth the hastle...might as well go all motor....as far as the SI and everything, i sold that car a LONG time ago, and am currently getting sued by the new owner, go figure....if you check the initial date of this thread, its an OLD one, haha

Yeah, that is true, but dont forget it is pretty easy to lower compression..... New piston heads can lower compression..... And usually if you are going to go all out on a turbo system you are going to replace the pistons with forged pieces to insure maximum endurance.... Just my thoughts....dinko said:
