i'm getting one... was used for 2 weeks... so i'm getting it for $500 O_o

i'm pretty damn stoked... but it wont be going in the gsRizzle, it will be awaiting my next car.
anyways i pick it up tomorrow morning in it's original packaging with all manuals, installation equip, software, etc etc etc and he's giving me the reciept from when he bought it 2 weeks ago for nearly $2,000.....

here's some info on it....
http://www.goodguys.com/adtemplate.asp?invky=756669

and it also has Vehicle Dynamic Displays...

its a damn good unit. as long as the gyros (antenna) is placed correctly, it will be as accurate as you can get in an aftermarket unit.

if you are plannin to connect a game or something on it, use the back-up camera input, as there is no other way to bypass the gyros. they are made to work regardless if you ground the parking wire or not.

sweet pickup!

he told me this hooks directly to the VSS... so i'm hoping that will help its accuracy

and thanks for the tip on the backup camera hookup...
from what i read if i do it that way, someone could be playing a game... and have the navi running at the same time

I don't have a pioneer head unit but I have my PS2 hooked up to the camera input. You can switch it on whenever you want if you don't install a reverse light switch. Only thing is you don't get any of the sound, which doesn't bother me because I dont want to hear videogames when I am driving.

i'm pretty f**king stoked... i'm supposed to pick it up around 10:30am tomorrow

in all actuallity it's not costing me any money per say.....

it's a trade in, the bank required $1600 cash down on the cirus i'm selling him.... he was $500 short and planned to sell it to a pawn shop and TRY to get the $500.... my manager heard him telling the salesman this and gave me a call to ask me if i wanted to show a $500 trade in value and i'd take the HU... well after he described it to me i said yes in a heartbeat...

so i'm making $500 less on the car deal... but on the same not he might not have been able to gather up the funds and there would have been no deal at all.

all in all i'm VERY happy

i've seen one person bypass the gyro... it's possible...
he was an idiot and took the risk of opening it up and tinkering with it's insides.... although he is in his 3rd year of college for that sort of s**t...

but he tells me that there's another way to easily bypass it now... something he saw for sale
he's trying to find it for me

have heard there are ways. Like looping through the rear camera input.
But from messing with it. Damn if it wouldnt bypass.

you should buy the 5.1 processor for it =)
