i heard alpine isnt what it use to be, like the quality of it has went way down, pioneer has been great, and still great, id prolly just get pioneer, and play it safe

its because someone else manage.
in the older alpine, they have the BBE power but the new owner took it out and other stuff. this is why the quality went down.

BTW im listening ALPINE all around, including front/rear speaker Type-R,alpine Head Unit with BBE power, 12inch Type-R sub with PROGRAM BOX and powered with Alpine mono 500 amp. this sounds amazing!!!!! Clear and Loud. less than 500 exclude CD deck.
