Planet Audio 18" Subs

i was just wondering, wat u guys think about this subwoofer? i'll be installing two of these in my 97 civic

I will be powering this with a Planet Audio VX2200D 2250W X 1

how does one go about mounting not one but 2 18" subs? I've got one 18" in my bass guitar amp and the thing is f**king huge!

In the end do you really need two? You could have 4 12's and take up less space.

well i just like how they hit, and if u think thats a lot, i have a friend that has 8 18" in a chrysler minivan and another that has twelve in a chevy astro

18s huh? Lotta debate on which is better. Fewer really big subs or more smaller subs. You always get the debate about how much air they can move and how long they take to rebound. Seems like I've heard something positive and negative about everything.

the 4 8s I had was a lot louder than my 2 15s though.

how much room you have would be the least of your problems. When you put high powered audio in a car, it's not just that simple.

Hope you have plans for you electrical system... say goodbye to your alternator!

... hate to be a b***h, but don't tell people they're lying when you're obviously uneducated about what they're saying.

Four fifteens in a civic is VERY possible. I have two fifteens in mine, and the box is only 3 cu.ft. so, it is most definitely possible to get 6 cu.ft. out of a civic.

i've had 3 18" subs and 2 12" subs in my 89 civic hatchback

i would never, ever, ever do that again.... but i've done it.

i would rather put 2 15's in a civic then a 2 18 in the turnk that is. at my installer we have a 01 civic coupe with 4 15's in a wall. with a new alternator.2 extra batteries. the big 3 and that thing hits hard but it sucks. it took a bunch of hp from the car even though the car doesn thave THAT much hp in it to start with.
