why greddy over edelbrock if edelbrock makes good power? and if they are overpreiced, i know you can peice together your own kit, but then you cant pass smog

i found edelbrock kit for aound just 3000...for complete, but the greddy kit is cheaper but wont give as much power correct? (plus you have to buy the addons)

i dont' know the greddy #'s but edelbrock claims 176whp at 6-7psi, i can't find the edelbrock kit that cheap so if thats what ya want then by all means get it, honestly either one would be good choice

it looks like greddy is the more favorable but i dont know the reasons because edelbrock is more complete and claims a lot of power

What turbos are included in both kits? that is what is going to limit how much power potential you will have. FUel mANg. is also another thing to consider. Which kit offers better fuel mang? most likely neither. FMU are garbage, so keep that in mind if you want your motor too last.

the 92-95 civic greddy kit comes with a mitsubishi td04 15g, the 6th gen comes with a 19t just about the same turbo. both are pretty close to the garret t28 turbo.

therefore the smart choice would be the greddy kit and buy other IC + BOv?

any suggestions for good prodcuts?

imo, you should build your own kit. Just research alot and peice it together yourself. You'll learn ALOT more and you'll end up getting exactly what you want.

I mean really... what is there so complicated to know what your buying.. this is my interpretation of what peices are on a turbo kit. I don't know much, but this is off the top of my head.

Turbo Manifold and Turbo(Assuming you have a D-series, you could use an HF manifold + adapter plate)
Turbo Downpipe(custom made at any exhaust shop)
Charge pipes from JCWhitney
BOV + Wastegate(if you need one depending on what turbo you choose) --> meaning you could get a turbo with an internal wastegate.
Intercooler(JohnnyRacecar is good)
Excess Fittings + Hoses ---> Autoparts store and Home Depot
Air Filter for the compressor side of the turbo(K&N --> any autoparts store)
Wideband o2 Sensor and ChromePro(free tuning program), etc. etc. or you could get Hondata... costs more.

Now the aesthetics you could get if you DIDNT pay all that money for a kit, it might go over the price a bit though.
Boost Guage, Exhaust Temp, Oil Temp
Boost Controller
Turbo timer(probably uneeded but hey, it's good to have... unless you already have one wired to your alarm)
New Clutch, all the new power your making the stock clutch wont be able to handle it.
Aftermarket headstuds.

etc. etc. etc.

If you do your research you'll be able to save money or get more things out of your money than buying a kit. Simple as that.

like he mentioned hks has a very good line of things for turbo, i personally like the turbo xs "rfl" (the loudest on the market) the greddy type-s is a good choice also like he said, those would be my only three choices
