i think the cannards look ok... maybe not on a stock looking hatch - maybe if you had cf mirrors and spoiler. maybe a lip kit...connies91tegra said:We tried the cannards on our old white hatch when we lived in Florida. It didn't look so hot.
So far, I haven't seen any worthy shops in Chicago and the scene is poorly organized. My best bet is driving back down to Florida where I know good shops. I don't trust ebay that much when it comes to quality of the carbon fiber. And indeed I'll be posting pics. Mainly they will be in my vbgarage section.
some ebay cf is really good. i bought a hood from ebay... took a hell of a long time (4 months) and cost an arm and a leg, but its really unique and the finish quality is better than alot of hoods i've seen.
i've also seen an abs dash cover that could easily be cover in cf - no molds. just sand, resin, lay the cf, and clear coat. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43952&item=7968635139&rd=1
you can also buy cf vinyl that you can trim out some upholstery with. did you check out the meanstreet door panels? meanstreet.net >> body parts >> carbon fiber parts/misc...
gl w/ the project.
