that is the answer..LongGrain said:racing harnesses are not safe unless you have a roll bar, i doubt you have a roll bar and stock seats. it would not be safe for you.
harness bar is garbage.. it wont do d**k to protect you in a roll over..racerx661 said:you can do it but at the very least purchase a harness bar
u can always strip out the back and bolt it down to the floor, i see that alot but please get racing seats!!!!!!!!!!oc_civic said:harness bar is garbage.. it wont do d**k to protect you in a roll over..
if you want a harness get a cage/roll bar thats the only real safe way IMO...
without the main hoop of the roll bar/cage... in a roll over the roof will come in on you and the harness will hold you upright snapping your kneck and/or spine... thats why i say you need the cage or bar..Ltrain said:u can always strip out the back and bolt it down to the floor, i see that alot but please get racing seats!!!!!!!!!!
he doesnt "NEED" a windshield or any seatbelts for that matter.. but most people want to do the safest thing..loccusst said:He doesn't need either.
first of all.. it doesnt matter what level he is autocrossing in.. scca rule book 3.3.2 strongly suggests the use of a roll cage roll bar... no they dont mandate it but they recomend it.. now thinking about your average highway speeds VS your average autoxing around a parking lot.. hmm if they recomend one when driving aggresively around a parking lot.. ill go ahead and assume that driving aggressively at 100+ mph on the highway one would be equally usefull..loccusst said:If it's for looks then get the harness bar. If it's cause you are going to autocross then get a roll cage depending on the level you are going to race at.
