I don't think they look bad but $150 for shipping and your right $1000 plus is a little unessacry. I think these will be fine even though I am not the biggest fan of Bomz

IMO, there are some things you can cheap out on like grilles and s**t, and there are some that you cant. You're pretty much putting your life in the hands of these seats while you're riding in your car... And if you were to get in an accident say on the freeway, and the brackets holding the seats fail, you go through the window. The expensive seats ( recaro, bride, etc ) are stress tested, and I dont know if a lot of the ebay-knock off seats are. You might want to check to make sure before you invest..

ROFL, "30 day money back guarantee".... By the way, getting off brand, untested racing seats are almost as bad as getting a roll cage made with PVC pipe..

im not feeling having those brandnames on the seats, i would just get some replica recaros or a bride style with no name on it

OEM equipment is made to work a specific way with your given vehicle... when you change s**t you must make sure it is of quality standards.. harness, seats, roll cages, etc... should all be made by a company who makes parts to meet oem standards and is sold as OEM (recaro, takata) or something that is certified (FIA SFI etc...) off brand replica seats COULD be good OR they could be of extremely poor quality resulting in serious injury in an accident... if you are going to change safety equipment be sure to do it correctly.... IMO

I don't totally agree with that.....roll cages, harnesses, yes but seats even the cheap aftermarkets are better then the junky seats that come in civics. IMO if you like the seats then get them, make sure you read the fine print, is there a warranty with the seats? If you don't like the way the seat feels. You can strip the seat down add new foam, have it re-upolstered(can't spell sorry) They sell the sparco cloth that you can use. Even if these seats are cheap you still have a frame you can use to build off of. The more expensive seats like Sparco wouldn't need any changes. Its really up to you what quality you want to make your interior. I have sat in cheaper seats and they weren't that bad actually, they were the DAD seats.

if the seat is not fia, sfi, etc.. approved.. or made by a company that already producing things to OEM spec.. how reliable is that frame? i could make a racing seat out of a pvc frame and sell it on ebay.. there is no standard for which i need to follow.. if youjust buy any random seat.. there is no garuntee that its built well, or even safe for an accident..

If a company is selling seats they better be safe or I think they will have some major lawsuits on there hands unless they have stated seats are for off-road/show use. What kind of company would actually sell unsafe seats. That is one of the most important things when involving safety.

who would sell an unsafe safety product you ask?
let me list them... just a handfull..

heres a nice set of seats with a disclaimer that sounds worse than buying a gun...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TORINO-BLACK-CARBON-RACING-CAR-SEAT-CRX-CIVIC-INTEGRA_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33701QQitemZ8060827220QQrdZ1

heres a safety harness that is off road use only.. funny to buy a seatbelt that you can ONLY use OFF the road?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2X-RACING-SEAT-BELTS-4-POINT-BLK-PRELUED-COROLLA-SUPRA_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33725QQitemZ8060460045QQrdZ1

APC being fined... for safety issues..
http://www.dot.gov/affairs/nhtsa2103.htm

oh and while we are on the APC kick.. how about monkey bars... roll cage "replica" lol that sound pretty undsafe to me.. no offense man.. but as long as these companies DONT have to meet any standard to get your money.. they will take your money while investing the LEAST they can in the product thus maximizing profit..

I usually don't trust brand names that have a Z at the end.

sure you can...

all you need is..

sfi or fia approved harness..
and a
roll bar / roll cage with a harness bar...

the older budget setup

M&R harness (SFI Approval)
Integra Gsr Leather Seats
Autopower Roll Bar

the new more expensive setup
Takata Harness (FIA Approval)
Recaros
Autopower Roll Bar
